Why did the Prime Minister of New Zealand apologize?

New Zealand Prime Minister Jassandra Ardern’s insulting words about a member of parliament were recorded.

According to international media reports, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has apologized for insulting a political rival in parliament.

Following a question from opposition ACT Party leader David Seymour, the Prime Minister’s words were recorded on a microphone, to which Seymour objected and asked the Speaker of the House of Representatives to withdraw the words.

The Prime Minister ended his speech with strong words while answering the questions of the opposition member. “What an arrogant person,” he said softly without naming names.

These words were heard over the microphone, after which Jassandra Ardern’s statement of apology was given on behalf of the Prime Minister’s Office. It has been said in the statement that the Prime Minister apologizes for the statement made regarding the Member of Parliament.
