Dubai Airport has maintained its position as the busiest international airport in the world.
According to foreign media reports, these views were expressed by the Deputy CEO of Dubai Airport Jamal Al-Hai at the Gulf Airport Leaders Forum held on the occasion of the 21st edition of the Airport Show.
Addressing the Airport Innovation and Development Conference, I said that Dubai Airport has maintained its position as the world’s busiest international airport with 29.1 million passengers.
He said that it was an honor for us that Dubai Airport has been declared as the busiest airport since the year 2000. Welcoming the delegates, he said that (GALF) has two years of cod epidemic. Ibrahim Ahli, Deputy CEO, Dubai Air Navigation Services (DENS), said that with the increasing use of technology, soft regulations and reforms, Dubai is fast becoming the city of the future of the world. Air traffic will increase and this will increase the need to further improve the security, capacity and efficiency of Dubai’s airspace.
“We proved our mettle when Dubai’s airports effectively managed the daily movement of more than 1,338 aircraft before the global epidemic,” he said. The airport has handled approximately 1.115 billion passengers on more than 7.47 million flights since its inception in 1960.
Addressing the conference, Muhammad Faisal Al-Dosari, Senior Director, Department of Air Navigation and Aerodromes, said that this year we have registered 20,000 private drone users, 870 commercial drones and 181 commercial drone organizations to operate drones.
Future developments include unmanned traffic management, scheduled UA operations, night operations, multiple unmanned aerial vehicle operations, autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle operations, urban air mobility, unmanned aerial vehicle delivery, high speed unmanned aerial vehicle. Includes craft and high altitude unmanned aircraft.
