French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed the possibility of Russia-Ukraine war being prolonged and said that I wish Russia to lose the war.
In a statement given to the French media, the president said that it is my wish that Ukraine will be able to fully defend itself in this war and that Russia will be defeated.
He said that the Russia-Ukraine war is likely to be prolonged and appealed to Western countries and allies to help the Kiev administration.
Emmanuel Macron said in the appeal that Western countries should continue to provide military aid to Ukraine and continue to provide military equipment.
He said that the continuation of the military effort by the Western countries and the continued assistance of the allies can bring Russia to the negotiating table and this is the only way to ensure lasting peace.
