WHO statement on new strain of coronavirus

The World Health Organization says it is monitoring a new strain of the corona virus, which was identified in January in the Latin American country of Colombia.

According to the news agency, the scientific name of the new Corona variant named ‘Mo’ is ‘B1.621’. The World Health Organization says that there is a danger that the vaccine will not be effective against the genetic changes in the Mo variant.
