Earlier, Sajid Javed was the head of business, culture and housing departments, including the interior ministry.

Pakistani-born Sajid Javed was also the prime ministerial candidate in 2019, but finished fourth against Boris Johnson.

Sajid Javed’s parents were Pakistani and he had a brilliant career in the banking sector before entering politics.
