While hearing Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar's case tomorrow, the actress filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court.

Kangana Ranaut often stays in the headlines for some reason. Now the actress is in the headlines because of her case with Javed Akhtar. In fact, lyricist Javed Akhtar had filed a criminal defamation complaint against Kangana Ranaut in 2020. According to Live Law news, Kangana has now asked the Bombay High Court to stay the case.

Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar's case is scheduled to be heard on January 8, 2024. Both Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar had filed defamation cases against each other. Kangana had also accused Javed of blackmail, which was also dismissed by the district court. In addition, subpoenas were sent to both parties on several occasions in this matter.

Lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar had accused Kangana Ranaut of making objectionable comments against him in an interview with a news channel. The actress had said that Javed Akhtar called her at home and threatened her and said that he would not leave her if she troubled Hrithik Roshan. Based on Kangana's statement, Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation case against her.

After Javed Akhtar's case, Kangana also retaliated against him and filed a defamation case. Although the Andheri Sessions Court had given Javed Akhtar a free hand in the case last year, the case against Kangana is still ongoing.

Talking about work, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Tejas. His film flopped at the box office. Now she will be seen in her next historical drama film “Emergency”.
