Where were you on September 11, 2001 when you found out?

It was a Tuesday in September like any other, right in the middle of the afternoon on this side of the Atlantic. Some were in the office, others at home, and the younger ones in class. At the time, no smartphone notifications. But the call of a loved one, a discussion heard in the street or a flash on the radio pushed the whole of France to find a TV screen to see the unimaginable. New York’s World Trade Center towers in flames, on the verge of collapsing, after the attack by al-Qaeda.

Twenty years later, if the tragic events of September 11, 2001 have obviously remained engraved in the collective memory, they are also in individual memories. Because each and everyone remembers this special day.
