Banks have been set aside for new currency notes on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in the United Arab Emirates.
Special arrangements have also been made this year keeping in view the demand for new and crisp notes for Eid. For the convenience of the public, new notes will be available at the ATMs of certain banks.
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has announced that new 5, 10 and 50 dirham notes can be withdrawn from ATMs in the UAE.
Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Bank of Sharjah are among the national banks where ATMs have been designated for new notes.
Banks have also been instructed to try to make new currency notes available to customers when they contact them.
