When will Colombia play in the Caribbean Series 2023: schedule, matches and results

There is little left for a new edition of the Caribbean Series to be launched. Eight teams -the largest number of participants in history- will play the most important baseball tournament in the region between February 2 and 10which this year will be held in Venezuela, at the La Rinconada stadium in Caracas and at the Fórum stadium in La Guaira.

The Vaqueros de Montería will represent Colombia for being the last winners of the local league. His goal is to retain the crown, because the Caimanes de Barranquilla won the first title for the country in 2022. In competition will also be the champions of the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, Panama, Mexico, Curacao and Puerto Rico.

Due to the number of teams, there will be a new competition format. In the first round they will face each other against each other. and the best four will advance to the seminals. The winners of each bracket will play for the trophy in the final on 2/10.

Colombia’s schedule in the Caribbean Series

The Colombian team will debut against the Indios de Mayagüez (Puerto Rico) next Thursday, February 2 from 2:00 p.m. Afterwards, they will face Panama, Mexico, Curaçao, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and finally, will close the first phase against Venezuela.

  • February 6th: Farmers from Granma and Las Tunas de Cuba v. Colombian Monteria Cowboys (9:30 a.m.)
  • February 7th: Colombian Monteria Cowboys vs. Tigers of the Licey of the Dominican Republic (5:00 pm)
  • February 8th: Lions of Caracas of Venezuela vs. Colombian Monteria Cowboys (6:30 pm)
