She couldn’t believe her eyes. Against all odds, a British family saw Tom Cruise land in a helicopter in their garden.
While he has just unveiled Thursday the first images of “Mission: Impossible 7” at the CinemaCon festival in Las Vegas – including an impressive stunt during which he soars into the void – the American actor created the surprise a few days earlier in the United Kingdom where the shooting of this highly anticipated film is taking place.

As mother Alison Webb tells the BBC, Tom Cruise was indeed invited Tuesday to his property in the county of Warwickshire. “We were in the garden, it was a beautiful day, the children were playing in the field. One of them warned me that two men had shown up. I went out to talk to them and they asked me if they could use the field to land a helicopter, because a VIP wanted to land at Baginton airport but it was closed, and (the VIP) was late . I thought it would be pretty cool for the kids if they saw a helicopter land in the garden so I accepted, ”she explains. But the family certainly did not expect to welcome “someone so famous” to their land.
A free helicopter ride
Smiling, the 59-year-old actor thanked his hosts and lent himself to the game of photos to immortalize this moment. The couple’s children were even able to board Tom Cruise’s helicopter for a ride over the property. An incredible memory that they will not soon forget. “After he left, we all looked at each other and wondered if it really happened,” recalls Alison Webb.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, “Mission: Impossible 7” suffered several delays but is due to be released in French theaters on May 25, 2022.
