Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of the good friends from the Bollywood world, have come face to face with such an issue. In fact, there was once a fight between Kareena and Karan over money. The situation had deteriorated so much that the two did not even speak to each other for almost a year.
You quite rightly heard that there was a break up between Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor Khan over money. Karan Johar has also mentioned this in his autobiography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’. The story begins in the year 2002, during which the film Mujhse Dosti Karoge starring Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Rani Mukherjee was released. However, the film flopped at the cinematic box office, for which Kareena was very upset.
After this, Karan Johar started preparing for the movie ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ and started casting. On the first weekend of the film, Karan Johar called Kareena Kapoor and offered to play the lead actress in the film. Kareena made it a condition that she will work on the film only when she receives the same fee as Shahrukh Khan. Karan was shocked to hear this and flatly denied Kareena.
Karan was saddened by Kareena’s behaviour, but at the urging of her father Yash Johar, he called Kareena back. Experts say that even during that time, Kareena did not pick up the phone from her, which made Karan very angry. He cast Preity Zinta in the movie.
