When is Ramadan and Eid? The astronomer explained

According to Kuwaiti astronomers, this year’s Ramadan will begin on Saturday, April 2, while Eid al-Fitr will be on May 2, 2022.

Kuwaiti astronomer Adil al-Marzouq has said that the Shawwal moon will not be visible on May 1 because it will set 17 minutes before sunset, so Ramadan will be 30 days long and Eid al-Fitr will be on May 2.

Adil al-Marzouq emphasized that if the legitimate theory is proved and the figures stated, then the month of Ramadan of the year 1443 will begin on Saturday, April 2, 2022. He added that the duration of the first fast of Ramadan will be 14 hours and 53 minutes.

He clarified that this year Ramadan will consist of 30 days, therefore Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Kuwait.
