When Dhoni suddenly had tears in his eyes while giving a speech, read Mike Hussey's words

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) recently shared a video, in which two former players from the team are seen sharing some old stories. In this video called ‘Super Reunion’, there was a long conversation between former Australian and CSK cricketers Michael Hussey and Matthew Hayden. There were laughs and jokes in this conversation, as well as reminiscing about some special old moments. Mike Hussey shared one such moment. This moment is related to MS Dhoni.

In fact, when the 2013 spot-fixing case came to light, CSK was suspended from the IPL in 2016 and 2017. In this era, Dhoni represented Rising Pune Supergiants. After this, when CSK returned to the IPL in 2018, Dhoni gave a speech for his team. Michael Hussey shared an anecdote related to this speech.

Michael Hussey says: ‘We were out of IPL for two years. We go back and I remember that MS Dhoni gave a speech at the beginning of the season. He was actually crying during that time. Tears were coming out of his eyes. I remember at that time he was thinking that something special was going to happen this time. That was a special season. Thinking about what happened that year, your hair begins to stand on end. It seems that what happened that year was meant to happen at the IPL. MS Dhoni had performed brilliantly throughout that season. It was a very special moment.

Let us tell you that in 2018, Chennai won the IPL trophy. In that season, Chennai entered the playoffs by winning 9 out of 14 league stage matches. In the playoffs, Chennai defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to reach the final. Even in the final match, Chennai once again faced Hyderabad. In this match, Chennai achieved the goal of 179 runs by losing only 2 wickets and won the IPL trophy.
