When Amjad Khan’s Amitabh Bachchan, who was fighting death in hospital, saved his life by donating his blood

This thing is from the year 1978. Amjad Khan went from Mumbai to Goa with his wife and two children. Actually, Amjad Khan had to come to Urgent Goa because the movie ‘The Great Gambler’ was being shot. Amitabh Bachchan was already filming on set. At the same time, Amjad also had to shoot his scenes. For some reason, Amjad Khan could not go to Goa by train or plane, so he decided to go by road. The whole trip went well, but Amjad’s car had an accident shortly before reaching Goa. The accident was huge.

Amjad was rushed to hospital along with his family. The family members were all fine with only minor injuries. But Amjad Khan had lost a lot of blood. When this news reached the set, there was quite a stir. As soon as Amitabh Bachchan found out about this, he immediately went to the hospital in Goa to see Amjad and his family.

Here the doctors told him that Amjad’s relatives are also hospitalized and no one is going to sign the necessary papers. Amjad’s condition is bad and a lot of blood has flowed from his body. If the documents are not signed, the treatment will not be able to start, and in such a situation, Amjad may also fall into a coma.

Amitabh didn’t take any time and quickly signed the papers, befriending Amjad Khan. When doctors asked Amitabh to donate blood during treatment, he did too and Amjad’s life was saved. Amjad Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s friendship deepened after this incident.
