If there’s one thing WhatsApp can be praised for, it’s that with competition flourishing, it’s been adding more and more features to try and keep up.
And that can lead to adding features that will make very little difference to most users. This is the case of the functionality that is being tested in the beta version for iOS.
Voice notes on test status updates on WhatsApp
The discovery was made by experts from WABetaInfo. And you can tell that they are working on a novelty that nobody needs: the possibility of sharing a voice note in your status updates.
As you can see in the image shared by the source, this test brings the possibility of sharing a voice note of up to 30 seconds in your status updates.
Please note that your voice status updates will only be shared with the people you choose in your privacy settings. And according to WhatsApp. These are end-to-end encrypted.
For now this is a feature that is only in the testing phase. So it may have a different look in its final version that will reach all iOS and Android users.
What do you think of these news? Is it something you can find a use for, or is it just a novelty that no one needs?
