When you’re on a video call that doesn’t require your full attention, there’s nothing like being able to multitask and use other apps at the same time. But this was not possible until now for those who have an iPhone.
But with the latest update, WhatsApp will make the so-called Picture in Picture mode available on its iOS app. This means you’ll be able to navigate to other apps without turning off your call video.
Picture in Picture mode comes to video calls on iPhone
As the experts from the WABetaInfo site revealed first-hand, this is an update available in version 23.3.77 of the app. And it’s already available on the App Store.
“With iOS Picture in Picture (PiP) support, you can now multitask during a WhatsApp call without pausing videos,” the update details on Apple’s app store read.

This time it is not a trial version, and in fact it is available to everyone with a compatible iPhone. To see if it is already available for you, check that you have this version 23.3.77 installed and make a video call on WhatsApp.
This update also gives users the ability to add captions when uploading documents. Larger group titles and descriptions are also available.
