The news comes after the entity in charge of organizing, cataloging and standardizing these “stickers”, the Unicode Consortium has published an update – Emoji 13.1. This update presents a total of 217 new symbols and “faces”.
It should be noted that this list of news is now available for those who use the Google Gboard keyboard application, either for Android or iOS. Now, however, it is also available for the trial version of WhatsApp for Android.
Note that WhatsApp has a habit of designing its own emojis, so the Emoji gallery presented by the Unicode Consortium will have some changes here, exemplified, for example, in the image above.
It should also be noted that, in addition to the adapted design of the faces listed in the Unicode Consortium, the Facebook group also has a habit of creating new figures. Thus, Beta users will have even more options to illustrate their conversations.
Among the most peculiar novelties are women with beards. The figure shows us a female face, available in the most diverse shades, with a notorious beard and mustache, justly nicknamed “Woman with a Beard”.
Also, if you search for “fog”, a new face “with head in the clouds” will appear. Below are some of these new figures, originally released in late April 2021 by the Unicode Consortium.
