What will New Zealand’s plan be on day two of the Kanpur test, revealed Kyle Jamieson?

New Zealand pacemaker Kyle Jamieson said Thursday that his team will have to try to take advantage of the second new ball when it comes to bowling on the second morning of the first Test against India. New Zealand’s first attempt will be to break the great partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja. On the first day on stumps, they both made 113 runs for fifth field, leading India to 254 for four after setbacks in the second session.

Jamieson performed brilliantly on day one with three wickets for 47 races. After the first day of play, he said, “Hopefully the new ball will swing a little more in the morning and we can get it out. We need a good start in the morning.”

Taking the grounds of Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane, this tall bowler brought India’s score to 145 for four in the second session. Although rookies Iyer and Jadeja played a good pair and put India back on the beat and this New Zealand fast pitcher took it on as well.

Jamieson said: “I think India is leading a bit. We stopped them well by pulling them.” India finished the day well despite losing three wickets in the second session on a mixed pitch. Jamieson, who is only playing his third test on foreign soil, said: “I didn’t get much swing. There was some swing at the beginning and it fluctuated a bit.”
