What are the main conditions for entry into Saudi Arabia? –

Riyadh: Almost a year and a half after the outbreak of the Corona virus, Saudi Arabia announced that it would allow foreigners to perform Umrah if they had received a full dose of the vaccine.

It now comes with some travel documents related to health registration for travelers entering Saudi Arabia, which are required for Saudis, expatriates and tourists.

According to a survey published in Arab News, those entering the country must have a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) negative test certificate, which must be obtained from a certified laboratory 72 hours before departure.

Passengers will also need a vaccination certificate and registration on the Muqim and Qadoom platforms from the Saudi Ministry of Health’s Tukalna app.

Upon arrival in the country, all passengers are checked for temperature and registered as immune to corona virus.

All visitors must submit proof of their corona vaccination through the Qadoom platform, which has been launched to facilitate entry into Saudi Arabia.

Visitors are required to register or update their Corona-related health data at least 72 hours prior to arrival via the Qudum link.

Exceptions for Saudi nationals entering the kingdom would be clear from the Ministry of Health’s Tawaklana app, while foreigners would need a full vaccination.

All travelers can register themselves through the website provided by the Ministry of Health.

A worker at King Saud University told Arab News about his travel experience that he had recently returned to Saudi Arabia from Kerala, India with his family.

I didn’t have any problems at the airport on our way back as all of us family members had taken two doses of the corona vaccine in our app before leaving for Saudi Arabia.

“All we did was keep the travel documents required to return to Saudi Arabia in accordance with the rules,” he added.

Hanuf al-Balawi, a resident of Riyadh, said that one of his colleagues made a minor mistake. He did not register in the app before entering the country because he did not know what to do.

“I live in Riyadh and have recently returned from vacation,” said Faiz al-Najdi, an engineer from Karachi.

“At the time of departure, it was very convenient for me to have copies of the PCR test, details of the vaccination and full details of the health regulations,” he said.

Engineer Faiz said that upon arrival in Karachi, the airport authorities demanded to show us all the details online but we failed to open the app there. Other passengers like us also faced this problem.

“I tried my best to convince the airport staff that I have copies of all the details of the vaccine but the officials were demanding that it be shown online,” he said.

Upon our special request that the Riyadh Airport staff verify all the paperwork and allow us to travel, they were satisfied and allowed us to leave.

Upon our return to Riyadh airport, all the documents related to our health were complete. The staff at the immigration desk was very polite. They checked the PCR test and trust documents and stamped the entry on the passport.

“Many of my friends have recently returned from Egypt,” said Ayman Hassan, an Egyptian resident in Riyadh. Here at the airport the procedure has been made much easier.

It didn’t take long for all these friends to get out of the airport on their way back. He was returning from vacation and had received two doses of the corona vaccine from the kingdom.

Following the travel instructions, they had registered on the resident link in addition to the PCR test report and Tukalna vaccination certificate.
