Indian Cricket Team Vivian Richards: The West Indies team suffered a 3-wicket defeat against South Africa in their last match of the Super-8 of the T20 World Cup 2024, which led to their exit from the tournament. After this loss, West Indies veteran batsman Vivian Richards visited the Indian team’s dressing room and expressed his support for the Indian team if the West Indies team fails to progress in the tournament.

After the match between India and Bangladesh, Vivian Richards visited the Indian dressing room to present the fielding medal. He praised the Indian team, saying, “Excellent performance. What can I say to such a strong team? Your performance has been good so far, and I will only say that if the West Indies team does not win, then I am with you.”

Richards gave the fielding medal to Suryakumar Yadav, who took a brilliant catch of Liton Das at square leg. He also praised Rishabh Pant, saying it feels good to see him playing after the accident. If Pant had not recovered, the team would have lost a great talent.

India’s unbeaten run in the T20 World Cup

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India has performed well in the current T20 World Cup and has not lost a single match. The team will play against Australia on June 24 and will qualify for the semi-finals if they win.
