Wednesday Star Hints at Wednesday, Tyler Romantic Reunion for Season 3

Fans of the hit Netflix show Wednesday have been buzzing about a potential romance brewing between Wednesday Addams and Tyler Galpin. It turns out, viewers aren’t the only ones wondering if their complicated relationship might get a second chance.

Isaac Ordóñez, who plays Wednesday’s younger brother Pugsley, recently shared his thoughts on the matter. According to reports from a prominent news channel, Us Weekly, during an interview at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride event on Friday, September 26, Ordóñez weighed in on whether Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega, and Tyler, played by Hunter Doohan, might rekindle things.

Ordóñez clearly sees the sparks. "I think they might be hinting at it," he told reporters. "I don’t know what. I don’t know what series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are cooking up, but from what I’ve seen, it could be possible." He pointed to the "charged moments" between Wednesday and Tyler in the second season, explaining that he gets why fans are so excited. "She fell in love with the monster in him," Ordóñez said, adding, "I think in a way they do make a good pair. I could see it."

The show has kept viewers guessing about the main character’s love life since her first break-up. In its first season, Wednesday and Tyler started as a couple. They later became enemies, but everyone noticed their undeniable chemistry.

The second season, which wrapped up in September, added more fuel to the fire. Several scenes made many of us question Wednesday’s claims that she wasn’t interested in Tyler. The biggest hint came in the finale. Wednesday chose to free Tyler instead of defeating him completely. That choice left the door wide open for this fan-favorite duo.

Hunter Doohan, the actor behind Tyler, shared insights into his character’s mind with Us Weekly back in August. He explained that Tyler spent his whole life thinking his mother simply died. Then he found out she was a Hyde, and this fact had been kept secret from him. Later, Laurel showed up, used him, and blamed outcasts for his mother’s death. Doohan added that Tyler finally understood why his father seemed to hate him. Tyler always wanted his father’s love and couldn’t grasp why he was treated so poorly. "Wednesday seemed perhaps the only person who—by being Wednesday Addams—wouldn’t be afraid or hate him for those parts of himself, and might even accept them," Doohan noted. He playfully hinted at romantic possibilities for Season 3, asking, "Can anyone be too dark for Wednesday Addams?"

Beyond the dramatic twists for Wednesday and Tyler, the show has also started to give more attention to Ordóñez’s character, Pugsley.

"I’m surprised to see how well it has been received again, in this second season," Ordóñez told the same news channel. "I’m super excited for Season 3. I don’t know what awaits Pugsley, but I imagine they have something planned."

Ordóñez also talked about how much fun it is to film with the cast. "We are like a real family. We have that bond," he shared. He also spoke highly of director Tim Burton. "He is simply… he is Tim Burton. He is an amazing director. It’s crazy. Sometimes I look at him, I see the passion in his eyes, and I realize the vision he is imagining in his head." Ordóñez described Burton as "a super chill guy" off set. However, once filming starts, he’s "totally focused." Burton "wants his vision to be fulfilled," Ordóñez said, adding, "He has a clear idea of how he wants everything."

Wednesday has already been renewed for a third season, and both existing seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.
