The ongoing political unrest in the country is affecting the film industry. Due to the strike, producers and makers postponed the release date of the film. For this reason, no new film has been released in the last two weeks. Old films are shown in the cinemas.
As per the rules, new films are released every Friday. However, it was found that no film was released on the last two Fridays.
Fuad Chowdhury’s film Meghna Kanya was scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, November 17.
Likewise, Badrul Anam Soud’s film Shyama Kavya was scheduled to hit theaters on Friday.
Sohail Mondal, Nilanjana Neela, Intekhab Dinar, Jeni, Shahadat Hossain, Saju Khadem and AK Azad starred in this psychological thriller. The government-funded film is jointly produced by Subarna Mostafa. Apart from directing, the story, dialogues and screenplay of the film were also written by filmmaker Badrul Anam Soud.
The last film was released in cinemas across the country on November 10th. Two films named ‘Yantrana’ and ‘Megher Kapat’ were released but none of them could attract the audience.
