We Are Knitters opens its first physical store in Madrid

We Are Knittersa Spanish brand specializing in the sale of kitsballs of wool and patterns for knitting, opens its first physical store after more than 11 years in the channel on-line. The chosen city is none other than Madrid and in the heart of the city, in the Malasaña neighbourhood, at Calle Fuencarral 47.

So far, the company has developed several experiences pop-up in different cities of the world (from Paris to New York), but it did not have any physical and permanent point of sale.

Its two founders, Pepita Marín and Alberto Bravo, will be present at the opening ceremony. All attendees will be able to enjoy a pleasant coffee break and talk with them about any issue they feel like talking about. They will also carry out workshops in which they will teach you how to weave your own garments, having fun and trying out the true WAK experience in full.

In addition to a store where you can buy the usual products for weaving with the WAK seal, the novelty comes in a activities since ‘knitting parties’ (private events for groups of 6-8 people) free workshops aimed at people who want to learn to do something simple.

From the online to the offline world

We are Knitters arose when two Spanish partners, Pepita Marin and Alberto Bravo, they realized that more and more young people were encouraged to make their own knitted garments. They focused on the concept of Do It Yourself (do it yourself).

The start of the project took place in 2011 via eCommerce, becoming today a prominent company, with a presence in 15 countries and more than 60,000 customers. Its main distinctive sign continues to be the sale of knitting kits with innovative designs, as well as high quality natural fibers and striking colours.
