The 2023 Asia Cup will feature a match between India and Pakistan on September 10th. Both teams will meet in the Super 4 round. A reserve day was also kept for this great game. Ahead of the match against Pakistan, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah have joined the team. Rahul was fit again after a long time, so the question on everyone’s mind was whether he would be able to keep the wickets.
On Friday, KL Rahul kept the wicketkeeping in the nets for around 45 minutes and gave a befitting reply to his critics. Before that, he had also practiced hitting the nets violently.
Given Rahul’s rigorous wicketkeeping practices at the nets, his chances of being included in the starting XI for India’s Super 4 match against Pakistan on Sunday have also increased. Rahul played the last ODI for India against Australia in March this year in Chennai.

Rahul began by standing on the stumps at the Premadasa Stadium with two attendants taking up the roles of batsman and bowler, a wicket-keeping exercise against the spinners. Rahul had to practice catching the ball outside the off-stump and he practiced all the time without any problems.
Rahul then focused on catching the ball on the leg side. He continued to catch the ball without any problems. After this exercise, his stump ability was also assessed. Later, Kuldeep Yadav batted and Rahul practiced wicketkeeping against the left-handed batsman.
However, the team management must think carefully about including him in the playing eleven. In Rahul’s absence, Ishaan Kishan will take over the role of wicket-keeper batsman. Kishan impressed everyone by scoring four half-centuries in four matches, three against the West Indies and one against Pakistan.
