Was Pujara and Rahane's trial run over? Virat Kohli gave this answer

When Indian Test captain Virat Kohli was asked about the future of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, he could not confidently defend them and put the ball in the selectors’ court.

In the three-match Test series against South Africa, Chateshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane’s bat was silent. Where Pujara scored 124 runs in six innings at an average of 20.67. On the other hand, Rahane scored 136 runs in six innings at an average of 22.67. After the 1-2 loss in the series against South Africa, both are in danger of being eliminated from the team.

Asked about the future of Pujara and Rahane at the post-match press conference, Kohli said, “I can’t speak here about what will happen in the future.” I’m not sitting here to discuss this. You should talk to the selectors about this. That is not my business.

He also said, as I have said before, I will say the same thing again. We will continue to support Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane as the type of players who have done well in India over the years in Test cricket. He played an important tackle in Johannesburg. We recognize such demonstrations as a team.

The Indian captain also said that whatever the selectors decide, obviously I will not sit here and comment. Let us tell you that even before the start of the series, it was said that if Pujara and Rahane’s bat remains silent, then both of their test runs will end.
