The European Union keeps the pressure on Moscow

The Twenty-Seven decided on Friday, January 27, to extend the sanctions against Russia for six months for the war in Ukraine. Ukraine has called for sanctioning the Russian missile industry and the nuclear energy sector. The EU is also considering extending sanctions to Moscow’s ally, Belarus, used by the Kremlin as a relay for the war effort.
