War in Ukraine: IAEA wants to install a “permanent presence” in the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant

They are almost there. The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived on Wednesday August 31 in the city of Zaporijjia, located 120 km from the nuclear power plant of the same name. The 14-member team, led by the director general of the organization, Rafael Grossi, will have access to the plant on Thursday. “We are preparing for the real work which starts tomorrow”the official said.
