WandaVision: Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany leave Golden Globes empty-handed

The stars of WandaVision Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany both lost in their respective categories at the Golden Globes 2022.

Even handicapped by the covid-19 pandemic and the arrival of the variant Omicron, the Golden Globes 2022 were held two days ago.

This year the first original series Disney + of Marvel Studios, WandaVision, was nominated in two main categories: one for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie (Elizabeth Olsen) and another for the best actor in a mini-series or a TV movie (Paul Bettany). WandaVision opened the series Marvel Disney + before giving way to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, What If? and Hawkeye. The series headed by Jac Shaeffer and staging Wanda Maximoff in the small town of Westview was expected at the turn to win important prizes in several audiovisual ceremonies.

However, the two actors dear to the MCU left empty-handed. Elizabeth olsen lost against Kate winslet for his performance in the HBO limited series Mare of Easttown and Paul bettany was defeated by Michael keaton for his performance in the miniseries Dopesick. This disappointment does not prevent Marvel studios to push to stop the boycott of award ceremonies with regard to superhero films since the studio of Kevin feige is currently asking that Eternals, Black Widow and Spider-Man: No Way Home contribute to Oscars 2022. Some fans even call for nominations Willem Dafoe as Best Supporting Actor for The Green Goblin!

In any case, for now, you can still go see Spider-Man: No Way Home, in theaters since December 15, 2022.
