Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman, known for his artistic hitting, will now be the new head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The Chairman of the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, confirmed this on Sunday. He said Laxman is ready for this responsibility. VVS Laxman will replace Rahul Dravid, who was given the responsibility of head coach of the Indian cricket team a few days ago. After his departure, this place was left empty.
The NCA chief position was vacated after Rahul Dravid became the head coach of the Indian team. For a long time it was speculated that the responsibility of the head of the NCA would go to VVS. It can be given to Lakshmana, but there was no response from Lakshman. It is said that after much persuasion from BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, Laxman agreed to take on this responsibility. Earlier, Sourav Ganguly also convinced Rahul Dravid to work as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. Only then did Rahul Dravid agree.
VVS Laxman was still making the comments, as well as the responsibility of advising the IPL Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise team. He has been fulfilling this responsibility for many years.
