Vukcevic could go to Zeljko Obradovic’s Partizan

The arrival of Gabriel Deck at Real Madrid and the returns of Anthony Randolph and Trey Thompkins could suppose the exit of Tristan Vukcevic (18 years old and 2.09 m), who has played nine games for the white team in the Euroleague this season (2.1 points and 1.2 rebounds in just over six minutes on the court).

According to Christos Harpidis (Total Basket), Zeljko Obradovic’s Partizán would be close to closing the transfer of the Real Madrid power forward until 2023. The player could even land in Belgrade this Monday. Serbian media confirm this news, although with a nuance: the player would not leave Real Madrid on loan but would be a signing and the white club would not have to be compensated.

Vukcevic arrived at the Real Madrid youth academy in 2018, 15 years old and from Olympiacos, where he had spent his last two seasons. The power forward made his debut under Laso in October 2020 and since then has played 44 games with the first team (32 in the Endesa League and 12 games in the Euroleague). But with the latest additions, the youth squad would now have only a few minutes as Laso has six other inside players: the wild card from Deck, Thompkins, Randolph, Yabusele, Poirier and Tavares.

The Partizan, which a few days ago announced the signing of Mathias Lessort, threw the house out the window this summer with the arrival of Zeljko Obradovic and several players (Kevin Punter, Rodions Kurucs, Zach Leday…). His goal is to return to the Euroleague with a team that has become one of the favorites to win the Eurocup this season. At the moment they are second in group A with the same victories as Joventut (8-2).
