Vorwerk just dropped the Thermomix TM7, and it’s a game-changer. The latest generation of this super successful kitchen machine boasts a sleek new design, with a fancy black finish that’s not just about looks – it’s also about sustainability. According to Vorwerk, this new color scheme allows them to use more recycled materials for parts that don’t come into contact with food.
Design and Features
The Thermomix TM7 has a 10-inch touchscreen, which is a nice upgrade from its predecessor. The whole thing is pretty sleek, with a flat base device that’s going to be the foundation for the redesigned mixing pot. Vorwerk’s marketing team is calling it a “stylish eye-catcher” that can be touched without hesitation, even when it’s hot. And, fun fact, the motor is supposedly the quietest one they’ve ever developed.
In terms of functionality, the Thermomix TM7 has 30 modes and functions, which should cover all the basics for people who are new to cooking. There’s also this guided cooking process that walks you through recipes step-by-step, which has been revamped to feel more contemporary. You’ve got digital twin technology with automatic mixing pot recognition, and the whole interface has been redesigned to make cooking easier and more enjoyable. Oh, and there are around 100,000 international recipes available in over 20 languages through the Cookidoo portal – though that requires a separate subscription.
Cooking Made Easy
One of the coolest new features is the “open cooking” mode, which lets you cook without a lid on the mixing pot. You can fry up to 160 degrees Celsius, which was previously only available through specific recipes. The Varoma has a bigger capacity now, and the spatula has been completely redesigned with a built-in knife turner. The basic device itself has a glider, so you can move it around easily by lifting the front.
Vorwerk developed and designed the Thermomix TM7 in Germany, with key components like the engine manufactured locally. The final assembly, however, happens in France.
Price and Availability
So, when can you get your hands on the Thermomix TM7? Pre-orders are starting now, with product demos and deliveries beginning in early April. Dr. Thomas Stoffmehl, a Vorwerk board member, says the official launch is set for April 7, 2025, with a price tag of 1,549 euros. That’s a bit steeper than the previous model, the TM6, which costs 1,499 euros. There’s also a Special Edition Snow version of the TM6 available for the same price. You can pre-order the new TM7 now, if you’re feeling fancy.
