CryptoDickbutts, the non-fungible token (NFT) collection built on Ethereum (ETH), is suddenly very popular. The collection’s daily trading volume surged 690% to 290 ETH (about $500,000) on OpenSea last Sunday. This volume caused the collection to rise to number 6 in the ranking. At the time of writing, the collection is even up number 1.
The collection even managed to catch up with a number of other well-known projects. CryptoDickbutts rose above projects like Goblintown, Cool Cats and Art Blocks. Volume has also increased by more than 135% over the past week.
CryptoDickbutt NFT price rose sharply
The cheapest CryptoDickbutt of the second series is currently selling for 3 ETH, or just over $5,100. This is a 31% increase in the last 24 hours and is also the highest point a Dickbutt has been on.
Nevertheless, it can be seen that the floor price for the collection has remained the same, according to figures from NFT Price Floor. The increase in price shows that more and more investors are getting excited about both the project and the associated community. Also, this popularity is driven by the meme behind the NFTs. How you see with some projects that they become less and less popular as they get older, you see just the opposite with CryptoDickbutts.
CryptoDickbutts were hugely known on the internet
The CryptoDickbutts were designed by the dot book artist KC Green in 2006. The Dickbutts also quickly became part of the internet culture due to their easy sharing. For example, in a very short time they appeared very often in various memes and on platforms such as Reddit.
The first collection, called OG collection, was released in March 2021 and contains 161 CryptoDickbutts NFTs. In August 2021 came the second series, called Series 3. This collection contains 5,200 NFTs. The project has no further roadmap but is managed by a CryptoDickbutt Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). Well-known names such as Steve Aoki, Blondish and ProbCause own a Dickbutt.
