Volleyball starts a course for level 1 coaches

The Norceca/FIVB Volleyball Regional Development Center and the Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli) began this Thursday the Level 1 National Coaches Course in the old volleyball pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The course will be taught by the Venezuelan instructors Alexander Gutiérrez and Rómulo Hernández, as well as by Xiomara Morelo, from Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Wilson Sánchez.

Professor Nelson Ramírez, director of the Regional Development Center, reported that the applicants who had the best ten grades in the regional courses that Fedovoli, chaired by Alexis García, have taken part in since the end of last year and the beginning of this year. .

He indicated that the course, which will conclude next Sunday, is part of the national and international activities that the Regional Center has scheduled for 2022.

Last week he held courses for referees, scorers and line judges, led by the Mexican Geraldo Macías, an international referee with Olympic and world experience.

“The Regional Development Center continues with the training courses for the Dominican Volleyball Federation,” he declared.

He stressed that students who pass the Level 1 Coaches Course will receive a card that will allow them to work in the official tournaments organized by Fedovoli and the associations it has throughout the country.
