Rock in Rio returns to Parque da Bela Vista, in Lisbon, on June 18, 19, 25 and 26. After a long wait, the festival returns, and Vodafone will be present at the event, as usual.
Present since the first day, 18 years ago, Vodafone is once again associated with what is “the largest music and entertainment festival in the world”. On this occasion, Vodafone allows the festival audience to also headline the Palco Mundo.
“With the aim of exploring the functionalities of the latest generation network and transforming the festival experience, Vodafone has developed, in collaboration with Cycloid, an exclusive application that allows people present at the venue to appear on the screens of the main stage” , explains the operator in a statement.
Thus, to “go on stage”, festival goers only have to scan –through the camera of their smartphone– the QR Code that will be distributed at various points in the venue. After reading, they are directed to a web page through which they can film themselves and transmit, live, their image directly to the screens of Stage Mundo.
“This initiative reflects Vodafone’s strong commitment to innovation and the ability to combine technology with music and entertainment,” says the operator. For those who have 5G compatible equipment, there will be less satanism and more speed and real-time interaction.
Vodafone presents Roda Happy Days
In its open space on the World Stage, Vodafone will present the Happy Days Wheel. This will give away prizes such as Oppo 5G smartphones, smartwatches or backpacks. And you may or may not be a Vodafone customer to win prizes.
It also highlights the Yorn Stage, dedicated to the younger generations. This will receive urban artists from all over the country, from dance to music. The Yorn Stage is curated by “Chelas é o Sítio” and its programming will consist of showcases of young talents who grew up on the streets and in Portuguese neighborhoods.
