Vlhova, unstoppable, also prevails in Kranjska Gora

The Slovak Petra Vlhova claimed victory in the slalom held in Kranjska Gora (Slovenia) ahead of the Swiss Wendy Holdener (+0.23 seconds) and the Swedish Anna Swenn Larsson (+1.06). The American Mikaela Shiffrin, absent in the last two tests of last year after testing positive for Covid, could not finish the second descent, when she was doing a great route not without risks.

Thus, Shiffrin sees her advantage cut back at the head of the general classification of the World Cup in which she has 866 points, while Vlhova remains only 35 since she has 831. The Slovak increases her leadership in the slalom classification with 580 points, with Shiffrin second with 340 and Holdener third with 321. Vlhova, winner of the last great Crystal Globe, achieved her 24th World Cup victory.
