Chinese smartphone maker vivo has unveiled its new X300 Pro flagship in China, featuring an industry-leading 200-megapixel telephoto camera designed to significantly advance mobile photography.
The premium device, tuned by Zeiss, integrates a unique dual image processing system. This includes a VS1 chip for initial pre-processing, handling exposure, focus, and image stacking, before passing data to a V3+ chip for complex final stages such as noise reduction and sharpness enhancement.
Beyond its 200-megapixel telephoto lens, which boasts a Samsung HPB 1/1.4-inch sensor, the X300 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera featuring a Sony LYT-828 sensor. It also includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel autofocus selfie camera.
Powering the X300 Pro is MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500 chipset. Manufactured on a 3-nanometer process, this 8-core processor includes one ARM C1-Ultra core at 4.21 GHz for demanding tasks, three ARM C1-Premium cores at 3.50 GHz for general performance, and four ARM C1-Pro cores at 2.70 GHz. The chip also supports enhanced AI processing and console-level Ray Tracing graphics.
The device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260 × 2,800 pixels. Its LTPO technology enables dynamic refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz, optimized for content, and its slim 1.1 mm bezels offer an expansive viewing experience.
A 6,510 mAh battery provides power, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. The phone maintains a slim profile at 7.99 mm thick and weighs 226 grams.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, and Wi-Fi 6. The X300 Pro carries an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, protecting it in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes and against high-pressure water at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius. It runs on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.
The vivo X300 Pro is offered in Black, Brown, Blue, and White. In China, pricing starts at approximately $731 USD for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, rising to about $924 USD for 16GB RAM + 1TB storage. A premium version with satellite connectivity and a Photographer Kit accessory is priced at roughly $1,145 USD.
Sales of the X300 Pro are scheduled to begin in China on October 17, 2025, with an anticipated global launch in November 2025. The global starting price is expected to be $939 USD.
