Apparently, Vivo is already working on the second generation of its smartwatch known as Vivo Watch2.
The images now revealed show that the Vivo Watch2 will have a similar design to its predecessor, but the same cannot be said for the specifications.
Vivo Watch2 will have 4G communications unlike its predecessor
The second generation of Vivo’s smartwatch appeared on the Vivo Sports Health application and was soon discovered and disseminated on the Chinese social network Weibo. The image shows that the Vivo Watch2 will follow the same design as its predecessor with a round dial and an AMOLED screen.
But when it comes to specs, it appears that the Vivo Watch2 will be a “notch above” the previous model. From what is known so far, Vivo’s next smartwatch will be equipped with a 501 mAh battery that supports eSIM technology with independent eUICC chips.
On the other hand, it can also integrate 4G communications, Bluetooth 5.1 and support for voice assistant, specifications that its predecessor does not include. It is even more advanced that Vivo Watch2 can be launched only in the 46mm version, since the 42mm version with eSIM support can have a battery with a much shorter autonomy.
For now, no further details are known about the second generation of Vivo’s smartwatch that is due to launch later this year.
Remember that Vivo Watch (first generation) was made available in September 2020 with a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454×454 pixels. It does not include 4G communications, connectivity provided by Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and NFC.
In addition, it has 2 GB of internal memory and a 478 mAh battery with support for 10 W wireless charging.
