A new challenger has arrived in the mid-range smartphone arena. Following the V50 Lite 5G in March 2025, vivo has just unveiled the V60 Lite 5G. This new phone steps up the game with a powerful chip and some thoughtful features, aiming squarely at users who demand more from their daily driver.
The most exciting change is inside, where the V60 Lite 5G gets a big boost from the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. This brainy chip is built on a 4-nanometer process, making it very efficient. It packs eight CPU cores to handle everything you throw at it. Four of these are Arm Cortex-A78 cores, running at up to 2.5 GHz for heavy tasks. The other four are Arm Cortex-A55 cores, clocking in at up to 2.0 GHz, perfect for saving battery on lighter duties.

To round out the performance package, the V60 Lite 5G also includes a Mali-G615 MC2 graphics chip for smooth visuals. An NPU 655 neural processing unit is also on board, which means better AI capabilities for tasks like photography and system optimization.

The phone doesn’t skimp on memory or storage either. You’ll find up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be expanded with another 12 GB of virtual RAM. For your apps and files, there’s a generous 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The V60 Lite 5G runs on Android 15 right out of the box, and vivo promises five years of software updates, keeping your phone fresh for a long time.
Looking at the screen, vivo has brought some significant upgrades. The 6.77-inch OLED display now supports 10-bit color. It also boasts HDR10+ certification, meaning it’s been tested by services like Netflix and Prime Video for excellent video quality. The display keeps the sharp 1080p+ resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, matching its predecessor.

Despite its powerful internals, the V60 Lite 5G manages to stay slim at just 7.59 mm thick, a slight reduction from the previous model. This sleek design still houses a massive 6,500 mAh battery, a feature carried over from its predecessor. When it’s time to charge, the phone supports a super-fast 90 W wired charging. vivo claims this huge battery can power 12 hours of continuous PUBG gaming or over 27 hours of YouTube video playback. Even a quick 10-minute charge can give you 6.6 hours of YouTube watching.
With a nod to its gaming capabilities, vivo included a “Bypass Charging” feature. This handy option lets the phone draw power directly from the charger without routing it through the battery. This helps keep the battery healthy over time, especially during long gaming sessions.

When it comes to capturing moments, the camera setup largely mirrors the previous model, but with a crucial video upgrade.
- The main camera features a 50 MP sensor, using a Sony IMX882 sensor (1/1.95 inch).
- An ultrawide camera also comes in at 50 MP.
- For better lighting, there’s an AI Soft Ring flash.
- Selfies are handled by a 32 MP front camera with a 1/3.1 inch sensor.
- Both the front and rear cameras now record 4K video, a nice jump from the 1080p limit on the older model.

Durability is also a focus. The V60 Lite 5G comes with an IP65 rating, meaning it can handle dust and splashes of water from any direction. Its Shield Glass screen offers improved impact resistance, backed by a 5-star durability certification from SGS.
The vivo V60 Lite 5G has quietly appeared on vivo’s official website in Taiwan. We expect full details on pricing and availability to be announced very soon.
