The smartphone market is getting a boost with the launch of the vivo T4 Ultra. This new device is part of the T series and is an upgrade to the T3 Ultra, which was released in 2024. The T4 Ultra features an AMOLED display with a curved design on all four sides, a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, and a periscope zoom camera.
Design and Display
The vivo T4 Ultra has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, equivalent to 2800 x 1260 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, although the global version will have a lower peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The device also features PWM dimming technology, which reduces screen flicker and helps protect users’ eyes. Additionally, the display has been certified by SGS for its ability to filter out blue light.
The phone’s body is made of glass and has a thickness of 7.43mm, weighing 192 grams. It also has an IP64 rating, which means it is dustproof and can withstand being splashed with water from any direction.
Performance
The vivo T4 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which is the same chip used in the company’s flagship X100s Pro. The processor has a maximum clock speed of 3.4GHz and is paired with an ARM Immortalis-G720 MP12 graphics processing unit. The device supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage, with the option to expand the RAM virtually up to 12GB. The phone also has a large 5,500mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging.
Camera Capabilities
The vivo T4 Ultra has a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The periscope lens allows for 3x optical zoom, 10x macro zoom, and up to 100x digital zoom. The front camera has a 32-megapixel sensor.
Software and Features
The vivo T4 Ultra runs on Android 15, with the company’s Funtouch OS 15 skin on top. The device is promised to receive two major Android updates and security patches for three years. It also comes with several AI-powered features, including AI Note Assist, Circle to Search, AI Transcript Assist, and AI Call Translation. Additionally, the phone has dual stereo speakers, a large heat dissipation area, and supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB-C.
Pricing and Availability
The vivo T4 Ultra will be available in two colors: Phoenix Gold and Meteor Grey. It will go on sale in India on June 18, 2025, with prices starting at 38,000 Indian rupees for the 8GB + 256GB variant, 40,000 Indian rupees for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and 42,000 Indian rupees for the 12GB + 512GB variant.
