Vivo Keyd Stars Ends 11-Year Drought, Wins LTA Sul LoL Title, Qualifies for Worlds 2025

The third stage of the LTA Sul, or League of The Americas, wrapped up this past Sunday, September 7, 2025. The final match brought intense action between Vivo Keyd Stars and RED Canids. Both teams were hungry to end long waits for a top-tier League of Legends title in the region.

Vivo Keyd Stars had not clinched a major LoL championship in eleven years. Their only previous win came in 2014, when they defeated paiN Gaming 3-2 in the finals. RED Canids, who are two-time champions, had a more recent taste of victory, winning their last title in the first split of 2022.

The long eleven-year wait for Vivo Keyd Stars is now over. This Sunday, the team finally celebrated on Summoner’s Rift. They beat RED Canids with a decisive 3-1 score to claim the LTA Sul third split championship. This victory, especially after finishing as runner-up in 2024, also earned them a coveted spot in Worlds 2025, the global championship event for League of Legends.

This championship win shines a bright light on Coach Christopher “SeeEl” Lee’s strategy. When he joined the team, he promised a title within five years. He delivered it in just two years, along with a runner-up finish. Following the LTA Sul conclusion, the top three teams — Keyd, RED, and paiN — will compete in the Cross-Conference tournament. This event runs from September 13 to 29. It combines teams from LTA Sul and LTA Norte, and the winner will secure another spot at Worlds.
