Bollywood actor Vishal Jethwa, who made his masterful debut as a villain in Mardaani 2, returns to the big screen with Salaam Venky. This time in a completely different role.
Vishal plays Venkatesh, a patient who has overcome the progressive disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He plays Kajol’s son in this. This role again gives him a chance to showcase his acting skills.
“I was very excited when I heard that I had the opportunity to work with Kajol. During the script reading, I was very touched to see how emotional our writer got while telling us the story. I am very close to my mother. When I realized this is a mother-son story about surviving against impossible odds, I said yes right away. It’s an opportunity to show a different side of myself in this role,” says Vishal.
“And I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to work with Kajol and director Revathy, two movie legends, on one film. I consider this lucky. And I am very happy that I had the chance to show my acting skills to and for such talented actresses,” she added.
