Virat should take a break from cricket, former Australian player gave Kohli some advice

Former Australia pacemaker Brett Lee thinks Indian legend Virat Kohli might consider taking a break from the game to freshen his mind and work on a few things. Kohli’s average campaign in the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came to an end after Royal Challengers Bangalore’s seven-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier in Ahmedabad on Friday.

When asked about Kohli’s poor batting phase, Lee said, “If I say if it’s a concern, then yes, it is a concern. I would like Kohli to score more runs.

Kohli has not scored a century at the international level in the last three years. In the current IPL season as well, he was able to score only 341 runs in 16 matches at an average of 22.73.

Lee said: “In general, it is said about Kohli that when he does well, the team does well and when he doesn’t score runs, then the team doesn’t do well. We have seen him in the 2016 IPL season when he was in great form. He scored 800-900 runs and the team did very well.

He said: “Maybe (this) is an opportunity for Kohli to get back to practicing and working on some things and maybe taking a break from cricket will also benefit him. He should refresh his mind by staying away from the game for some time.
