IND Vs ENG: Team India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli has credited the young players for the win against England. Virat Kohli, who could not take part in the series due to personal reasons, said that the young players performed excellently and led Team India to victory. A day before the series began, Virat Kohli had withdrawn his name citing personal reasons. However, on February 15, Virat Kohli announced that he had become a father for the second time.
Great players were not part of the series
It wasn’t easy for Team India to win the Test series against England. India had to enter the series without Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. Due to injury, Mohammed Shami was not part of this series. KL Rahul also opted out of the series after the first Test. Apart from Rohit Sharma, there was no batsman in Team India’s batting line-up who had played more than 25 Tests.
Furthermore, England made a strong start to the series, winning the first game. However, India made a strong comeback in the second Test and leveled the series 1-1. Thereafter, Team India gained an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the series by winning back-to-back games in Rajkot and Ranchi. The final match of the series will be played in Dharamshala.
