Virat Kohli’s captaincy innings ended with victory number 30, this is his success rate in the T20

The India-Namibia match played on Monday night at the Dubai International Stadium was Virat Kohli’s last T20 match as captain. The Indian team won this match by 9 wickets and ended Kohli’s captaincy with victory. This was the 30th victory for the Indian team in the T20 International cricket under the leadership of Captain Kohli.

Kohli has been the second most successful captain of the Indian team in T20 cricket after Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni left the T20 team captaincy in 2016. The India team played 50 games under Kohli’s captaincy. In these, with 30 wins and 16 losses, Team India’s success rate of victory was 64%.

Virat has also been the second most successful player as a captain in terms of scoring runs in T20 International cricket. Virat has scored 1,570 runs in 47 innings of 50 games with a 47.57 average. Australian captain Aaron Finch is in first place.

Virat’s performance as captain was good, but the worst thing for him was that he couldn’t get any ICC trophies for the India team under his captaincy. The Indian team came back empty-handed at the Champions Trophy in 2017, the ODI World Cup in 2019, the World Trials Championship in 2021. He had this opportunity at the T20 World Cup as captain, but lost it by losing his first two games.

In test matches, under Virat’s captaincy, the Indian team has won 38 out of 65 matches. Here his success rate has been 58%. As captain, he has scored 5,667 runs in test matches with an average of 56. His performance in ODIs as captain has not been bad. He has led team India to victory in 65 matches in 95 ODI. In these games, he has scored 5,449 runs with an average of 72.
