Virat Kohli to Play in Cuttack ODI or Not Big Update Arrived

Team India’s legendary player Virat Kohli has received a significant update regarding his fitness. Due to an injury, Kohli was unable to participate in the ODI series against England. The second match between India and England is scheduled to take place in Cuttack on Sunday. Team India’s batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak, has provided updates on Kohli’s fitness, stating that he is fit to play in the second ODI.

Kohli suffered a knee injury, which prevented him from playing in the Nagpur ODI. In his absence, Shreyas Iyer was given the opportunity to play and performed exceptionally well. According to reports, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak confirmed that Kohli is ready for the next ODI, although he did not disclose the playing eleven. Kohli had been experiencing knee problems, which led to his absence from the Nagpur match, but it appears he has made significant progress in his recovery.

On Saturday, Kohli engaged in intense practice at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, sweating profusely as he worked hard to regain his fitness. Reports indicate that he participated in almost all the practice drills, demonstrating his determination to return to the field. If Kohli is included in the playing XI, it will likely mean that another player will have to be excluded from the team.

In the previous Nagpur ODI, India secured a 4-wicket victory over England, with notable performances from Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Akshar Patel, who all scored half-centuries. Shubman Gill scored an impressive 87 runs, while Iyer scored 59 runs in just 36 balls. As the England team attempts to bounce back in Cuttack, they will face a challenging task in trying to overcome the Indian team.
