Virat Kohli on Dhoni's path already gave Siraj the mantra to take wickets

Mohammed Siraj forced South Africa to kneel in the second Test. In the second Test against South Africa, Siraj showed the same form he had shown in the 2023 Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka. In the second match of the Test series played in Cape Town, Siraj showed the South African batsmen the way to the pavilion one by one, with Virat Kohli's 'Gurumantra' adding extra charm.

In fact, Siraj took the wicket of Marco Yansen during the Africa innings. Before taking the wicket of Yansen, Siraj received a signal from Virat Kohli after which he showed the African all-rounder the way to the pavilion in the same over. Kohli did the same as former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni also led the bowlers from behind the stumps which helped him get wickets.

Siraj took South Africa's Marco Yansen out with a catch by the wicketkeeper on the fifth ball of the 16th over of the innings. Virat Kohli, who was in the slips before Yansen's wicket, gestured to Siraj which ball he could throw to dismiss Yansen. In fact, Kohli asked Siraj to get him out by the keeper's catch by throwing the ball near the stumps and Siraj did exactly the same.

Siraj threw the ball exactly as the former Indian captain had told him and followed Kohli's instructions, thereby taking the wicket of Yansen. The video of Kohli leading Siraj also went viral on social media.

In the ongoing second Test in Cape Town, the South African team was restricted to just 55 runs in the first innings. This was the same African team that had scored a total of 408 runs in the first Test against the Indian bowlers. But in the second Test, the Indian bowlers did not allow the African batsmen to stay on the field, with Mohammed Siraj at the forefront. Siraj bowled 9 overs in which he took 6 wickets after scoring just 15 runs. Apart from this, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar defeated All Africa by 2-2 wickets.
