We all know Akshay Kumar can light up the screen with his action, dance moves, and hilarious comedy. He’s a true triple threat, and audiences adore him for it. But film producer and director Vipul Shah, who worked with Akshay on the hit movie ‘Namaste London’, recently spilled the beans, suggesting that this talented actor might not get all the credit he deserves.
Vipul shared his thoughts in an interview with Galatta Plus. He believes Akshay is an incredible performer who might not even fully grasp his own amazing abilities. When Akshay first started, people mostly saw him as an action hero. Then he ventured into comedy films, bringing laughter to millions. Yet, despite his range, critics sometimes didn’t quite take his comedic performances seriously enough. Vipul feels strongly that Akshay has so much more potential waiting to be unleashed.
Akshay’s strength lies in how easily he slips into different characters. Whether a scene calls for lighthearted fun or deep emotion, he completely immerses himself in the role. Vipul also pointed out something interesting: before ‘Namaste London’, no one had truly showcased Akshay as an authentic Punjabi character. That carefree, fun-loving Punjabi guy in Vipul’s film felt incredibly natural for Akshay. It’s this knack for constantly reinventing himself that has kept Akshay a fan favorite for so many years.
What’s Next for Akshay?
On the work front, Akshay was recently seen in ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. Looking ahead, fans can get ready to see him in ‘Jolly LLB 3’. This black comedy film is directed by Subhash Kapoor and marks the third installment in the popular Indian legal comedy series. Akshay won’t be alone in this one; Arshad Warsi will also star alongside him, promising more laughs and legal antics.
