Vingegaard Trails Pogacar in Dauphiné Ahead of Final Stage

Jonas Vingegaard can’t keep up with Tadej Pogacar’s pace.
He’s second in three stages of the Critérium du Dauphiné.
Vingegaard lost to Pogacar each time.

The Dane from Visma Lease a Bike trails Pogacar by 1.01 minutes.
The final stage is on Sunday.
Despite this, Vingegaard is happy with his performance.

Vingegaard says, “I couldn’t keep up with Pogacar’s attack.
But I did a great job.
I climbed at my own pace and didn’t lose much time at the end.”
His team tried to isolate Pogacar but failed.
Pogacar counterattacked and won his third stage in this Dauphiné.

Vingegaard adds, “I tried to follow Pogacar, but I had to slow down.
Still, I think I did very well.
My data looks good.
Pogacar was better than me.
Congratulations to him, he deserves to win.”
