Vingegaard, the second fastest Tour champion to win again

Jonas Vingegaard has shown in the third stage of the CRO Race that he is still maintaining the level he showed in the last Tour de France dispelling all doubts about him about his absence from the competition in the last two months.

Vingegaard’s victory also allows the Dane to become one of the fastest cyclists to win on his comeback in competition after winning the Tour, since he only needed three days of competition to raise his arms again.

as collected the Twitter account @StatsOnCycling There has only been one Tour de France champion who has won before Vingegaard on his return to competition. This is the Briton Bradley Wiggins, who after winning the Tour de France in 2012finished 103rd in the long-distance event at the London Olympics before winning Olympic gold in the time trial, for which he managed to triumph on the second day of competition.

Now Vingegaard will seek to add a new general to his record in the CRO Race before looking for another prestigious triumph next Saturday, October 8 at the Giro de Lombardía, where he will be one of the cyclists to watch.
