Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has finally opened up about the passing of his mother, Varsha Bhatt. She died on Saturday, September 6, at the age of 85. Vikram shared that his mother had been in pain for some months. Now, he believes she is in a better place.
He posted an emotional message on his Instagram page. In his heartfelt note, Vikram described grief as a “sob stuck in your chest.” He wrote that it feels like this heavy feeling will never leave. But slowly, the sobbing stops. A moment of relief appears amidst life’s dullness. He understands that good times will eventually come. He mentioned the saying, “Time heals all wounds.” However, he feels that time has not yet come for him. He even wonders if it ever will.

Vikram ended his message by thanking everyone who supported him during this hard time. He concluded his post with a prayer for his late mother. Many people shared their condolences on his post. Actress Avika Gor commented, “Deep condolences. Om Shanti.” Former Miss Universe India, Lavina Israni, also wrote “Om Shanti.”

Varsha Bhatt was the wife of well-known cinematographer Praveen Bhatt. Her funeral took place on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Only close family members were present at the Versova crematorium.
Vikram Bhatt started his journey in the film industry at just 14 years old. He worked as an assistant to director Mukul Anand for his first film, ‘Kanoon Kya Karega.’ Over the years, Bhatt has directed many notable movies. This includes ‘Ghulaam,’ starring Aamir Khan. In 2008, he returned to making horror films, creating successful movies like ‘1920,’ ‘Shaapit,’ and ‘Haunted 3D.’
